Keep Up With Routine Maintenance
Routine maintenance is important year-round, but it is especially crucial that you take care of all required service ahead of any longer road trips. If you regularly service your vehicle at BMW of Pharr, we will be able to tell you what maintenance you are due for — whether it’s just a typical oil change and tire rotation or whether you are due for less common but necessary maintenance, like spark plug replacements or brake maintenance.
We also recommend replacing the cabin and the engine air filter after a pollen-heavy spring. In addition, we will top off necessary fluids — coolant is the most important, as it keeps your engine from overheating in the summer.
Make Sure You’re Ready for the Weather
Summers in Texas can be brutal. Test out your air-conditioning system before it gets too hot. That way, you can have it fixed before temps rise. In addition, you should test out your exterior lights; if any are burnt out, get them replaced since you are likely to stay out later during summer hours.
